hey PPL,

how are you all?

ok, my question is.... what laptop do you recommend to run mbox 2? pc and mac

i know some laptops will not run great with the mbox. lets say fiutsi siemenes.

i downloaded free structure and sounds, and installed it in protools 7.1. on and mbox 2. the instalation is fine and can see it in my software setup

but i can not find it in my plugins. in...

wich antivirus is recomended, the one that uses at least minimum of cpu
and is easy for the laptop

norton sucks big time sov far and i spended 60£ on it

any suggestions?

how about that

i got the motu 828mkII from the shop to try out
im recording 8 tracks at the same time. with nuendo; 24 bits, 96000 hz, its going really well.
luckely they are taking care of me....

i was thinking already to go to the shop and try motu 1st
i record with motu 828mkII and i mix with protools cause that works no problem. i got waves gold and that works just fine, very stabil.

well i can record on my ext harddisc iomega 400 but the same problems come back

i got fw 1x IEEE 1394

i got a external iomega 400 hardisc firewire 1394 <<<<type? connected on my laptop
try to record there and when i make a new sessionfyle it says.....protools does not support unmapped network...

mbox 1 and protools 7 dont mix
have a good laptop+ mbox and good speakers.....ur gone of to ....
to find out about good speakers go to a good shop and check them all, best way to do
also a good...
