I have now tried two ilok second generation and two ilok first generation.

Both ilok first generation works just fine.
Neither one of ilok second generation works.

I hope to try a different ilok2 this week.
I also installed 10.6 from scratch to see if that made any difference.
It didn't

I used to own a 896HD several years ago.
I had no big issues as long as I didn't use any plugins while recording
Use SSD to minimize latency

If you rarely upgrade your equipment I would suggest that you wait for the 2011 models.

Then you will get sata-600 and the new Thunderbolt interface.

I've only got one license. And that license is on the ilok2.

My ilok2 works on all machines using PT9 I've tried. -Except my own macbook pro ... (?)
I do also see the license on my ilok2 from...

PT 9 have just been bought, but because of this issue, never tried

As of now I cannot do anything since it's the ilok 2 i own...

( Pro Tools 8 LE Eleven...

I'm having a similar problem using macbook pro 17" 2007 model, osx10.6.7 and ilok 2. Tested with PT9.0.1 and 9.0.2 update

Testing with ilok 1 everything works fine , but with ilok 2 a pop-up...
