Same here - haven't seen one of these fabled PTIEP upgrade emails with the upgrade code -- PTIEP is right there in my Avid acct page. Did Avid never share my registration with AIR??

Same here -- at least I think it should be registered -- if IEP shows in your Avid acct, doesn't Avid consider that registered for notifications?! Or was I supposed to send in some kind of warranty...

If AIR couldn't take registered Avid IEP (v1) user info with them, then AIR probably will use Avid for certain mailings.

This is probably why the AIR site has their own "Get Notified" link/form...

It's funny, what I thought I would be doing ( composing/songwriting in 64-bit PT11) has instead become a "Summer of Logic X" for me, since most vendors I'm waiting on already had 64-bit AU plugs...

MS3 includes ALL the same content LPX does. No in-app purchases, just in-app download of the 35gb (multiple VIs, loops, etc.). All included for $30... :)

+1 Yep, AIR being untethered from PT-only (w/ the exception of contractual obligs for Creative Collection) allows them to support other host plug formats including AU 64bit.

Horses for courses --- each DAW emphasizes different things and works for slightly different markets. But you can get about the same thing done in both -- PT mixing flow is insanely better, imho,...

That certainly is a big element. Logic X is tied to Mac hardware which you can discount since a computer is needed. -- but only partially discount Mac, since non-Hackintosh Macs have a cost premium...

For $199 you get a ton of stuff... all those tasty VIs and content. But if you're a PT vet it's probably a workflow learning headache. :p

Yeah, I gues less to feel slighted/screwed over when UA abandoned TDM. UA's reasons for going with their own DSP make a lot of sense in hindsight, so while Waves is looking to do a similar strategy...
