I just got a new MacBook Pro w/OS 10.6.3 and am upgrading to PT8. I just found out my Mbox won't work anymore with 8.0.3 (thanks Avid). Will 8.0 work on OS10.6.3? That's the last version to support...

I'm having the same problem. Protools was quitting on me alot. I went on digi's website and installed the latest update. It didn't really fix anything, I was still experiencing the unexpected quits....

I have Final Cut and Soundtrack just isn't giving me good enough results. Most of the offending audio is over dialog so, its a little tricky. I was hoping to find a plug-in like Cedar Tools (PC only).

When mixing a session, clicking on the timeline changes the track from waveform to volume or vice versa. This just started happening. I was mixing all day with no problems then this started happening...

Transport control through MIDI?

I recently bought an M-Audio Axiom 49 midi keyboard. Is there a way to assign the transport controls on the keyboard to operate the transport in ProTools? I'm on 7.3.

DV Toolkit isn't there nor is Digitranslator. I looked in Spotlight and came up with nothing. I guess they are trashed but, how do I turn off the warnings when I launch PT?

Sometimes this simple fix is overlooked. In the systems preferences under energy saver>sleep, make sure the 'Put hard disk(s) to sleep when possible' box is unchecked and set both sliders to never.
