This was a USB-issue. Works decently with my old 002R. No noise but I would've expected more when it comes to cpu when using plugins.

I formatted the disk and reinstalled Win 7. I installed PT10 inserted the Mbox Mini 3, Spotify. It sounded great. As soon as I installed the Mbox the drivers it started sounding...

The noise is by the way best described as crappy old Nintendo 8bits sound!

Tried Reaper which worked before. Had the same noise, then I changed the driver to Mbox Mini Asio 64 and now it sounds normal!

I do have the SVX installed. I will obviously try to uninstall but the noise comes even though I have no active plugins and only one track rec enabled or playing back audio.

Everything but Pro Tools works as a charm, that's why I hold it against Pro Tools. I can record and play as usual with, for instance, Reaper. Same with Ampeg SVX in standalone mode. But I'll get back...

I recently updated to 6.4. However, when starting Pro Tools, I get the message that I should download the firmware update for my 002R. Shouldn't that update be intigrated with the update to 6.4?...

Yes I mean drum kits! It is the vst version of battery, isn't there a version for Pro Tools as well nowadays, that's why I mentioned I ran it through the wrapper.

Oi!
How do I change the outputs on a kit in Pro Tools, using the VST/RTAS wrapper. I know how to do it in Cubase, but I can't do it in Pro Tools, any ideas?

A snare rarely sounds natural only close miked. Make sure the snare is well tuned and sounds great in the OH mikes. If it sounds bad in those, the close mikes won't help you.

I often use a compressor early in my mastering chain, eq, stereo expander and last the L2.
I use a multiband compressor on mixes that need more adjusment than what a regular eq won't do as good.
