If you have a perpetual license PT won't stop working if you no longer pay for updates, it'll stay at the last version you paid for. I froze my system at 2018.4 when I stopped doing commercial work...

I shoot railway videos and I've found a de-esser is great for reducing the high pitched sound of steam being released from the cylinder cocks and safety valves of steam locomotives.;)

The Oxygen 49 is not a HUI device so should not be in the Peripherals/ Midi Controllers section at all. Only your QCon should be there. You need to go to Setup/Midi/Midi Studio Setup and configure it...

I've never seen anything different, and it's never been a problem. This is what my Aux's show in the Mixer. Aux tracks, VCAs, and Video tracks do not use extra voices so they don't need a Dynamic...

Automatic restarting can be caused by instability in your system from ram to hard drives, drivers to overheating etc. In Windows you can disable auto restarts by unchecking its box.

When I retired from doing commercial projects, I retired from paying for the yearly support plan. Froze at 2018.7 though currently running a very stable 2018.3 under Win 7. No regrets whatsoever.

Pro Tools requires ASIO to function. If you don't have an ASIO audio interface such as an Mbox, etc, you will have to download and install Asio4all.
