Im guessing the 7.1 and 5.1 monitoring is in relation to the actual "monitor" section on the control surface, not the XMON unit??

thanks for the input.. I did check the manufacture sites, but no of them keep old drivers on hand... thay all said the same thing.. They only keep the latest drivers on hand. MOTU said they can...

Using my system drive for active PT projects...?

About 3 years ago I was using stacks of 10K SCSI external H. drives running off a dual SCSI accelerator.

Things worked OK as long as the drives...

I personally use my system drive for all active projects..

When Im done I do a save copy as transfering all my session, including all audio files to my external drive for archiving purposes.

All i can say about the new G4's.... DO NOT purchase it unless it has L3 cache.

whit out the L3 cache youll be running no faster than anyother G4 new or used...
