The Mbox 2 Pro does not have "Direct Latency Free Monitoring" in the way that the Mbox 2 does. The Mbox 2 Pro has a "low latency" mode described in the other post here.

Yeah, but electrical signals travel at near the speed of light so there isn't any appreciable delay incurred by long cable runs. I think that is what the OP was referring to, close micing the drums...

That's what I am saying, your original recording is the problem, it doesn't lie with the system that doesn't use the Presonus. So I guess you are saying that yes the Presonus was sending 48kHz clock...

Yes, use a aux track instead of the instrument track. It's somewhat inappropriate to use a instrument track for a mulit-timbral instrument such as a sampler because it only serves one MIDI channel.

You're right , the bog standard TC plug doesn't phase lock the left and the right. I used serato pitch and time to compress a stereo track a little and it sounded ok until i checked it in mono , OH...

Yes phase issues can be treated by nudging regions. If the situation calls for it. More often than not , using the phase reverse button on a plugin is the quickest and easiest way to check phase. ...
