PT9 is working just fine on my setup. OSX 10.6.7. See signature for other details. Clean installation of OSX (erased disk) followed by usual updates to 10.6.7. Then PT 9. Waves 8 WUPPED clean...

What brand mouse? Many 3rd party mice have lousy driver software.

Did you install software that came with the mouse? That may be working at odds with the Apple Mouse System Prefs.

Nope... I'm still sing my old MacBook Core Duo (non2) and the iMac since I know they won't give me any trouble. The MBPro is for Photoshop/Web/FileMaker stuff.

M/S is really the way to go.

First advantage is just one mic stand and cable. I use a Schoeps set-up with a AMEK 9098 preamp with M/S decoding all the time with full orchestra to small...

The (usual) solution for me has been to alter the length of the bounce by 5-15 milliseconds and then all is well.

Dunno why this works, or what causes the problem.

I get these assertation errors ALL THE TIME!

Jeez.

The only remedy I've found is to slightly increase or decrease the bounce length by 15-20 milliseconds, more or less. Works EVERY time.

I have the exact same problem and the only remedy that has worked for me is to ensure that I'm using only ONE processor for RTAS. One = NO PROBLEMS. Two = Can't bounce.
