Hey I'm running 8.0.3cs2 on snow leopard 10.6.3 and it runs great. The only problem is that the mbox only functions on one usb port on the macbookpro which is strange.Besides that everything runs...

Yeah i've noticed PT pretty much hogs that output channel so you cant have 2 programs running on it, had this problem with other applications anyways.

Hey, You need PT installed on OSX, i don't think you can install the driver separately, check under sound in system prefs too

Was having a major PT issue and figured out the problem after troubleshooting.
PT hangs on startup when i use the USB slot closest to the macbooks screen but runs perfect when i use the one beside...

I think the problem your having is that your monitoring your input not pro tools and since your meter isnt going the input on the track in Pro tools is probably wrong. You gotta turn the mix knob...

i had the problem as soon as i installed 8.0 and it persisted all the way to update 8.0.3

Solution that worked for me (for good i hope)

ahh NVM finally figured it out. one can only use 8 midi channel tracks (midi control surface set up) so you just have to scroll them into view for unlimited control for tracks.

dont worry about the name on the midi studio list just enable the driver/midi device name in the "input devices" list

Try downloading the Lua codecs and maps form the AKAI site. I had to install the driver pop up windows on xp as well.

CC 33-41 for the first 8 faders.
Still have 2 banks of faders left on my AKAI mpk 49 which i can assign to any...

I tried changing this in the control panel and no change. Something specific you gotta do?

Weird thing about itunes is that it plays when im not mixing the inputs for my computer.other programs...

I'm having the same problem with I tunes, QuickTime and any program that uses quicktime (web browsers)stuttering the audio.
I use Mbox2 and had this problem on my old and current computer which run...
