Import/Converting MP3 slow.

I recently bought myself a new Mac book Pro which came with Monterey 12.6

I realised when I import mp3 to the session the conversion takes very long compared to my old Mac book. Is there a reason...

So yeah my new Mac is running Catalina and I see that Protools 12 2019 supports Catalina just not some video features which does not matter to me but after I installed it. I get to the open project...

Well I do tracking and mixing too. anyways basically at any setting my protools response slowly. e.g. after i start playing the song when i wanna stop it i get like a 5-10second delay before it...

I tried both.

I tried running everything on my internal drive which is a 2TB 7200rpm HD. Problem persists.

I tried only running PT9 off my internal HD and audio files off external firewire HD...

Protools Lag Issue

I decided to move to PT9 from Logic and this is the error I get when I play my songs in PT9.

I only imported 5 stereo WAV files 16 bit 44.1khz and not running any plugins except 1 instrument...

U mean change my processor from 2 to 1?

i tried that.. when my song is playing and i edit my midi events while its playing it lags again i try to stop the track with space bar it takes another 5...

wow.. i just bought PT 9 .. all excited and installed. As i was about to authorize it in my accounts page i get Internal Server error so I cant authorize it to use it .... -_- ..
