Great machine but it looks like Arm is taking over the world now.

The avid stuff works great with both as well which is brilliant!

I'd hold out if I were you. They're about to bomb in price.

Soon you'll be able to get a 28core intel for around 2k.

The new Mac pro is coming soon so the intel will be last year's fad that...

Yes the last one with the hdx mode does exactly what I described above.

Puts the pcie bridge in to v. 2.0 mode.

You won't be able to run an older mac osx on the M1 chips.

PT 11 requires Yosemite

So pt11 definitely won't work with the M1 macs unfortunately.

I heard figures around £4k but even then I thought that was a little extreme for an aluminium chassis, some copper heat pipes, fans and a logic board with chips...

Any of the sonnet ones would be fine. Even the older ones because you can just use the apple Thundberbolt adaptor with it.

Bandwidth wise, as far as I'm aware, tb 2 is more than enough for three...
