Re: Pro Tools LE v6.1.1 MIDI bug???

I have noticed this problem too, but only when working on a Reason Adapted midi track. I didn't notice a problem before installing the bundle. It's very scarey when your tracks above and below...

Re: midi not working with 6.1.1/XP

So the only way for you to record midi data is to pencil in midi data on a midi track? Do you have any of the soft synths from the Bundlemania installed (i.e. Reason or Sampletank)?

I'm assuming...

Re: midi not working with 6.1.1/XP

I think it's system specific. Midi won't work properly on my system unless I power up the keyboard first. Conversely, if I turn the keyboard off with the computer on, it causes some weirdness with my...

Re: PTLE Factory bundle

There was a factory bundle a few years back from Digidesign (I believe for the launch of the 002). I don't recall if it worked with a 001. I doubt that's what you're talking about, but it's nice to...

Re: HELP !...keyboard contoller with digi001 5.1.1

benlef:

Your explanation will work if you're using a regular keyboard, but the new midi-only (no on-board sounds) keyboards are alittle different, and must use USB for their midi connection. Plus...

Re: HELP !...keyboard contoller with digi001 5.1.1

Well, first things first. Do you have the keyboard hooked up via USB? I believe the keyboard gets its power from the USB connection. Do you have the latest drivers? I've seen more than one thread...

Re: HELP !...keyboard contoller with digi001 5.1.1

I don't have an Oxygen 8 but from reading other responses, no one has gotten it to work by hooking up it up via midi. You must hook it up via USB. The midi out on the Oxygen 8 is for hooking it up...

Re: Midi help please

When you start a session, start it with bars and beat in grid mode and select the note (grid) resolution before you do any work on the session. You can change your grid resolution with one of the...

Re: New bundle for LE

Exactly! Someone is gonna have to try out the plugs on a 001 and see if they even work. I think getting the MBox plugs would be a good choice (cheaper), if you can even get them. I think putting in...

Re: midi patch channel selection issue

I believe you must set the Roland to Sequence mode instead of Performance. You should also make sure each midi channel is set to its own midi channel on the keyboard i.e. channel 1 to channel 1,...

Re: New bundle for LE

That's exactly my question. It would be really nice if Digidesign could clarify if either the 002 or MBox bundles will work on a 001...

Re: First Post Please Help: Rewire + RTAS Problem

Unfortunately, Digidesign made Protools as audio software that can handle MIDI and it shows. Other programs came to audio after midi.

I keep hearing that midi is going to be drastically improved...

Re: First Post Please Help: Rewire + RTAS Problem

You will need to set a midi offset for the late track. Look under the Windows menu for Midi Offsets. Remember negative number push the track forward.

Re: Patch Names in Pro Tools

There are no patch names or profiles at all with PTLE XP. Never has been, but hopefully some wonderful day there will be. Dreaming is all any of us are doing

Re: Edit window/MIDI help...

You will be able to see the current grid setting, but you won't be able to access the drop down menu to change the grid - it's just alittle too far right on a 15" screen set at 800 X 600.

All I...

Re: Edit window/MIDI help...

I have changed the screen resolution many times while having PTLE open. It shouldn't affect it at all. I remember having the same problem, not being able to see the where you change the grid once...

Re: Edit window/MIDI help...

If you're using a 15" screen, on 5.3.1 or lower, you won't see the grid setting.

Set your screen resolution to 1024 x 768 (everything will be smaller), change the grid, and then change the screen...

Re: Are there any downlable sessions on the net?

I don't think it's set up right. All I see in the folder is the application for winrar.

Where's the session?

Re: Intermittent MIDI problem/Reason

You should turn on your keyboard first, and then turn on the computer.

When powering down, do the reverse and turn the keyboard off last.

Re: Lexicon MPX 550 & Bounce to disk

You can BTD an outboard reverb without recording it first. The only problem is the little bit of latency which isn't that much of a problem with a reverb. I would only do this for making a listening...

Re: Volume is always too low

I believe what everyone is doing is compression. Use a 4-band EQ, compressor and limiter on the master fader. It's fast and dirty and it works. You can also raise the level too high this way so it's...

Re: Real One Player and D-001

I was unable to get Real Player to work with the 001 even with the wavedriver installed. I eventually used a program Rail wrote, DigiMMEHelper, a second version that recently had its own thread here....

Re: Reason Adapted and other plugins

It was possible to buy the bundle for those who already had hardware, but the offer expired the end of September 2003 - it only lasted 2 months.

Re: FIle Management Question

I think the easiest way is to do a 'save session copy in', which will create a new session with new exact copies of the audio files, but only what you need for that session. Save the new session...
