New system so no other drivers installed but removing the other 11 on the midi device list eliminated the error message. Thanks again...so much you do to keep this user group supported!

Not sure I understand your Mbox issue but I'm glad that you've got things working. I wouldn't think that the BFD plugin sent anything through the USB to record on Protools...

I have Norton 360 on my system and it will take 5 minutes to load PT8 if I forget to disable it, about 40 seconds otherwise. As Darryl suggests, this would be a good first step to try.
