Re: Volume automation when mixing

Big D, thanks for the idea -- this is a good option for an automated track in a group.

Now, what if the automated track is not in a group? Is using the trimmer tool the only way to adjust overall...

Volume automation when mixing

I write volume automation to a track and later decide to create a group which includes this track.

I then decide to change the overall volume of the group and notice that the track with automation...

Re: accessing plug-ins

I noticed the same thing with the "Inspector" plug-in. It's located in the proper plug-in folder, is listed in the "Loading Plug-ins" dialog box when PT is loading, but nowhere to be found.

Any...

Re: ProTools doesn\'t always play with the spacebar

Looks like four people have noted that the problem disappears at higher buffer settings. Still no solution, but I think we've zeroed in on the cause.

Re: ProTools doesn\'t always play with the spacebar

Anyone else try increasing their H/W buffer to see if the problem disappears?

Re: Plug-in Suggestions

Good points.

I'm not really interested in Autotune or virtual instruments, mostly wondering about higher quality reverb, EQ, etc. I'm using an S90 synth, live Yamaha Recording Custom drums, and my...

It only happened to me when attempting to simultaneously record to all four channels on my 002 at 96/24 at the lowest H/W buffer. The problem disappeared when I bumped the H/W buffer up a...

Plug-in Suggestions

I recently made the jump to ProTools 6.4: Digi002 on Windows XP. Up to this point I've been working with the DigiRack and Bomb Factory plug-ins, along with the T-Racks EQ. I'd like to invest around...

Re: ProTools doesn\'t always play with the spacebar

I've experienced the problem with different HDs: Seagate 80GB ST380013AS SATA 7200RPM 8.5ms system drive; Seagate 120GB ST3120026AS SATA audio drive.

It only happened to me when attempting to...

Re: Activate recording using a foot switch

Thanks for the reply. I already use your suggested method to get to my drumset. Great idea about wiring up a spare keyboard, though it's too bad one would have to resort to that. Cheers!

Activate recording using a foot switch

Anyone know how to activate recording using a foot switch on a 002? I know you can use one to punch-in, but I've yet to figure out how to activate the initial recording process.

Re: 6.1 to 6.4 - ear-splitting noise changing plug-in

I've yet to upgrade to 6.4, but have recently experienced the same problem -- I believe it's a bug in the T-Racks EQ plug-in. Are you using this in your session?
