What interface do you have? If it is the Mbox 2 then just plug it into the other usb port and your problem should go away. The one you are plugged into now is probably tied to the keyboard/mouse...

IMO your best option is to dump a tape at a time digitally over lightpipe into the 002R. That way you won't lose anything at all in the conversion. You could do 16 at a time with an A/D...
