sounds like you have a midi out from the digi to the in of your motif (and your motif is responding because you hear it in the headphones) then, you've got the audio out from your motif going into...

could be power harness (did 002r suffer the same problem as 002?) or FW port. i've had both problems, digi handles it very well, but you'll be down for a day or two -- contact support right away.

presuming you're recording at 24 bit depth (or greater) and CDs are 16 bit, you should dither the file to get to 16 bit resolution (search "dither" in the duc, you'll get more info than you need ;-)....
