I'm running ProTools 8.0.5 on OSX 10.7.3

yep - that's right - PT 8.0.5 on OSX 10.7.3.

Is this actually normal?

According to Avid:

as of July 20, 2011
Apple has released OS X Lion (Mac OS X 10.7). As of this writing Pro Tools 9 and...

Plug In Settings - LOST

Hi There,

my Plug-ins seem to have lost their factory default pre-sets.

I have to load them in manually, one at a time.

Specifiying the root directory for the pre-set in the sub-menu does...

Re: Mac OS X \'Tiger\' compatibility information.

Interesting reading.

Here's the deal:

NEVR UPGRADE ANYTHING UNTIL YOU SEE SOME DOCUMENTATION THAT SAYS IT WORKS.

That's how it is with upgrades.

If you depend on computers for a living...

Is ProTools 6.7 better for MIDI?

Here's the deal - I've been making tracks in ProTools using the MIDI extensively since 2000.

That's the way I like it - MIDI and audio along-side each other in one window.
Simple paino roll...

Roland TR909 and ProTool timing issue (sync)

I posted this in the MIDI forum but thought I would try here too, just in case.

Re: What\'s better Midi I/O or anonymous USB Midi I/O

I was looking at the MOTU 8 x port MIDI box.

Seems like great value for money.

I find the MIDI ports on the Digi 001 work fine too.

I use those along side a MIDIsport 2x2 box plugged into...

Roland TR909 sync with ProTools - ARRGH!

I have written a track using a Roland TR 909 - chained patterns in a track.

The tempo is 125bpm.

I recorded a small section of the 909 track (a four bar loop) as an audio guide into ProTools...

Re: DP 500 or 733

check out:
http://www.apple.com/powermac/specs.html
As far as I can see the dual is the new design with an additional processor.

Re: DP 500 or 733

The 466 and up all use 133mhz motherboards with 4 PCI slots and 4xAGP graphics. Therfore the 466 is as fast/faster than than 500 in most cases due to the better video performance and faster bus...

Re: SCSI Problems

Is the SCSI card in the bottom slot?
If not, put it there and try that.
PCI cards can be picky about what slot they are in — I also have a Umax S900........

Re: Is it my Triton or my Digi001?

As doc22 says you can also set up a combi programme with separate instruments and have them play over accross separtate MIDI tracks at the same time. The only limitation in combi mode is that you are...

Re: Can\'t Hear MIDI !!!!

mfym is correct. This one is simple to fix but frustrating as hell if you don't know - I spent days on it. As far as I know the PT manual says nothing about the fact you need to set up an aux track...

Re: What RAM to buy?

I'd go with OWC (http://shop.macsales.com) - good buggers.
Buy their own branded RAM - it's fine and it's never been cheaper (around $95.00 for 256MB). You could get the 133mhz RAM instaed of the...
