oh heck that sorted it and i feel a muppet:D i assumed both followed the same path and thought i always had it working like that in main but i guess i had it in monitor and accidentally switched them...

where would i go for the output settings?sorry i learn as i go :( would it simply flip settings like that by own choice?

power harness was the first thing i checked and reseated several time,even used the old one before avid sent out the replacement..still nothing.theres nothing wrong the digi as ive been working...

never had any issue with the build and tried several firewire...

anyone any ideas why suddenly my monitor level/002 wont work(sound is at full level) and the mute button wont work.it cant be a firewire issue as i only got it fixed a short time ago and it def hasnt...

can anybody recommend somewhere in the u.k i might be able to pick up a motherboard for a d900???

still no joy connecting to pro tools/hardware issue even after wiping and reintalling windows etc,everything is totally connected.what the heck would be the prob?

tried reinstalling etc and no joy....is it a matter of retrying??or where might be the emoval tools be found?.

by the way if I.E.8 is no good is any of the other browsers...

ah! that's what messed it up,thanyou.....always something simple.

LE 7.3 boot problem

hi,i seem to be having an issue with 7.3 not booting,everything is fine after i install it for a day or two then suddenly it wont boot and it freezes the desktop.any ideas? im on xp and sp3.thanks.

ive no plug ins other that the ones issued wih pro tools.....so im looking about for online ones and ones i might buy on ebay etc ...just need to know HOW to...

so it doesnt matter where i place the plug ins...i just go to whatever drive/program files/digi design/pro tools file and thats that..thery should load when pro tools opens......unless some plug ins...

i'm having a prob with adat going through my protools..there is a constant click when record is engaged...seems to click exactly every second?anyone help please???.

yeah ive already updated to 6.4 but i have the same issue when i got to open or start a new track..just crashes the pc...and its a carillon so no issues with it being unable to cope.
