Is it a "Pro Tools" issue, or a "Folder track" issue(which Reaper does not have)? Here are some things to consider:
1-HUI is actually a seriously limited protocol(not Avid's or Behringer's fault....

LDS gets the virtual SM58 to drop:D But, things are still not quite as I think they should be, so I must ask more of my teachers:
1-I tried setting to 192 voices and recording still stops...

1-RTAS is pretty much dead, so don't expect that to work at all.

Got a simple session with around 36 audio tracks and 4 stereo AUX tracks.
All plugins are TDM(not a single RTAS plugin is in use)
Around 16 tracks are using sends to those AUX tracks for drum bus...

Not sure why you're having issues, but using a physical iLok(2 or 3) is miles better than trusting iLok Cloud(which requires a 100% perfect internet connection 100% of the time:o

Things to consider:
1-my opinion only, but I can't trust ilok cloud. Give me a physical iLok any time.
2-how big are your sessions? Could Pro Tools Artist cover your portable needs?

1-learning any new DAW after knowing any other DAW is going to be a PITA(but learning new stuff is good for the mind....if you don't....mind:p:p)

You say you have a Presonus interface? Then you should be using the driver from Presonus and NOT the ASIO4ALL driver(which is a band-aid at best and would only be used when running the onboard sound...
