I'll soon be building a Tyan Quad system. My friend priced out all of the components on newegg.

Have any benchmarks been done with virtual instruments/soft synths? I'd be really interested in seeing some results. How stable is the Tyan Quad with the 1st Gen Mbox? Curious.
