I got the OWC Envoy express today, and had exactly the same experience as with the other enclosure I tried. Everything works fine copying, reading, speed testing, until I get to about 25-30% occupied...

PT is not yet apple silicon native, and must run under Rosetta 2. If PT runs, then Rosetta is installed. Simple as that.

Just to add one thing: I find a definite difference in how my audio now is 'easier' to listen to at a somewhat loud levels, and also 'comes thru' better at very low levels. :-)

Of course, you're right. Still, the moment you 'print' audio to a new track in a 16bit session, the file will be 16bit, so I guess it might distort on playback.

People are seeing lots of anomalies with the last .dot updates. I always stay a few steps behind the last update because of this.
But I think it's best you create another thread about your Falcon...

Hi. Welcome to the forum.
There are some plugins that work on mac intel processors, but not on M1 macs. So you must isolate the problematic plugin(s).

Pull out all plugins from the plugin folder...

FWIW; I went from a i7 3,2mHz Mac Mini (2018) 32GB to a M1 mini 16GB 7 months ago. I tried out sessions between them, and tried to get a unscientific realworld sense of the difference in performance....
