Sure its doable.

You can just make a few different boot partitions with different OS'es on them.

Forget about 911.

I just read the tests for 922 at barefeats and xlr8yourmac.

If you have a newer mac with FW800 go for the 922, it blows the 911 away.

I might just buy a FW800 PCI card for...

So if the mac could do 115 tracks, that must mean 575 reverbs !

Hi, perhaps we're talking about 2 different tests.

I was referring to the Matrix music that BT had made, when they did a side by side comparison at the keynote, where the peecee kept choking up.

Actually, i read somewhere that there weren't that many tracks involved in that test.

There were some heavy duty plugs involved instead.

But i have to admit, even though I love macs and despise...

The latest Macs that everybody here is using is much greater than that figure. I'd say Apple did a pretty good job, considering the G5s are much more powerful.
