It seems so intermittent too...i repaired permissions on the drive like suggested and no problems past few days ..

I created a whole new session and imported all the session data from the "bad" session. now i try to add more tracks by importing audio...And low and behold...pro tools crashes with a submit report...

I had another post about Pro tools crashing when i import audio..same session..trying to use sound replacer..and i get the old "submit report cancel" dialog box and pro tools crashes..

Hey Dr Bill...i had the same problems with the same set up ..i disabled Quartz extreme and have been crash free for 3 weeks straight...search the ducs or the mac forum for the instructions its really...

Thanks for the reply..I know a couple of individuals who had the same issue but with 5.3.1 files...i'll find out if they got it taken care of...

Crash when importing audio

Hey,
I've been having issues with certain session files. When I try to import session data or import audio, PT's shuts down "Submit report cancel". Anyone have similiar problems??

well.. i reinstalled pro tools and installed a new glyph firewire drive and knock on wood everything is running ok so far...before it would crash for no reason what so ever...now its been stable for...

ok. it looks like a testing environment so far...testing the system out before adding additional hard drive..sooo the audio files (even though it was just 1) was being printed to the system drive.....

Are there any known issues with having a wireless connection to a router and the control 24? sometimes the cnt24 freezes up and i'm wondering if there is any connection between the 2......

opened same session again....1 audio track...made 1 adjustment to the sends view..and the PTS crashed spinning wheel of death...How can that happen?? why does a $7000 program CRASH with 1 audio...
