No problem at all.

Just to be clear; on Rode lineup, NT1-NT2 are the same mic on cardioid, updated version got multi pattern but fails miserably. K1 (NTK) and K2 are tube mics, updated version got...

Hi,

Not well to be honest. It is supposed to be multi-pattern mic but other than cardioid it is just awful. NT1000 any day.

If you want to choose between two Rode models, choose between NT1000...

If the bidirectional mic is placed far from drum kit (nearer to back wall) the effect is something I cannot live with. Should be placed in the middle of the room and even then I'd have a directional...

No problem. Have used SM81 on many live gigs as overheads. For the price very nice if HPF is on

That is the mic I always recommend for anyone who mentions limited budget. In this case it would be great choice, but also excellent addition to your choice of mics later. It sounds "like a thousand...

Almost any condenser cardioid (anywhere), or an omni type (center of room) mic would be better than fig8 in a dead room. Why? Because you want to slam the dead room track to death (no pun intended)...

The reason ribbons are hyped is their figure8 pattern, which is mostly used to capture stereo image (M/S). Second most used scenario is capturing two BG singers to one track.
