huh. it was in fact the 2022.5 update that fouled up my mp3 import rate to begin with. baffling.

Has anybody found a fix or workaround for this nonsense? unbelievably slow import of mp3s over here since upgrading to most recent version. unacceptable for ANYTHING on an M1 device to process this...
