Does anyone know how to move Xpand2 and Mini Grand to a external drive. the .big files takes to much space on my SSD main drive.

Hi,
I solved this problem.
Kontakt should be on Memory server so it can take advantage of all the RAM in your computer. This way if you have 8 gigs of RAM it can use that for the samples. If not...

When I drag the Audio from the Workspace browser on a track I get the spinning beachball for 40 seconds. if I reboot this goes away. Does anyone know what causes this?

When I get info on my Mac hard drives it says they are os journaled extended format. But when I use disk repair in disk utilities it says checking journaled hfs plus volume. Am I missing something...

Do you mean to disconnect the USB cable or take the plugin out of the plugin folder or both for machine
Protools says it is compatible on there site but who knows how accurate that is

I am not positive but I had the sam eissue. if you go to your preferences in Kontakt there is a setting that say volume -6db or 0. pick 0. also if you look at contact. 127 midi is zero in Kontact...

I spoke with Seagate. here is a link for anyone with there drives. this will disable the sleep mode for the hard drives.

That is crazy. the drive that is doing that spin down and up is my seagate 2terabyte. do i have to reinitialize the drive to update the firmware.?

i think that is is it. isnt protools always scanning drive s when you are working. and if one is dormant and has to spin back up then it can choke the system?
