Re: Kontakt 2

Does everyone running HD and NI software find they have a huge number of support tickets open. I seem to find a new bug everytime I open a plugin.

Massive thank god only has one (that I've found...

Re: SynchroArts ==> BEWARE!!!

Phone-home quite frankly scares me: Supposing iLok goes out of business, or are sued or has some kind of cease and desist order placed against them.

Re: Keyboard Focus with Plug Ins Open

Keyboard focus isn't managed very well in the plugin's world, a lot of the Native Instruments stuff starts sucking keystrokes up, irritatingly the F1 to F4 keys I use a lot when editing MIDI.

Re: SynchroArts ==> BEWARE!!!

Too late now, couldn't get hold of anyone at Waves (and nor is there anyone to speak to at iLok as far as I can tell). Once you've clicked RMA you only get one chance to subscribe to the ZDT stuff...

Re: SynchroArts ==> BEWARE!!!

That's a shame, I found them very receptive (although about other issues) a few years ago.

Just had to send my iLok off for repair. Bloody little light stopped going on. Unfortunately Waves...

Re: Your Waves Update Plan is About to Expire

Well there's a plan then.

(rencomp is a little bland, functional but bland. Got a couple of LA-4s in outboard that get used for vocals and important bits.)

I shall check out the pricing and...

Re: 44.1 vs. higher sample rates

I'd swear when I tried it on the HD rig when it was brand new (many years ago now) the Access Virus plugin sounded way better at 88 or 96 even after conversion to 44.1. (Testing using the Commerce...

MIDI export

This seems to be quite a dusty old corner of the PT software.

Is it possible just to export a particular track as a MIDI file, or better yet a particular selection of a particular track. I was...

Re: Feature request

Me too - presets would be great.

Also for some reason MP3 export licensing has failed here since upgrading to v7 I've been using lame from the commandline instead, which is great for me but...

Re: Your Waves Update Plan is About to Expire

I really like the idea of ditch Waves from my system, I had to try and contact waves technical support yesterday and failed to get through. My iLok has died, Waves is the only company on it not...

Re: New to PTHD tips for best antiVirus & antispyw

Actually on another note, there is this: http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/02/20060216005401.shtml although I don't think it represents a serious threat.

The risk with the Digidesign position...

Re: New to PTHD tips for best antiVirus & antispyw

I've yet to see a single piece of spyware on either of my two Mac's, nor have I read about one in any of the security news I read as part of my work. I think you'll be pretty safe.

Still,...

Feature Thought

I've not developed this thought very far, but wouldn't it be handy to be able to drag the output of one channel to the input of another and have them magically connected via the next free bus !

Re: Bug on loading and also MP3 export licensing p

Mmmm, there's nothing in my digidesign account where I can find the MP3 codec - I bought it an awful long time ago. Maybe a call to Digi will help here, I'll give them a shout in the week.

On the...

Re: How to CHANGE the KEY of an AUDIO TRACK?

Expect it to sound a bit ugly, if you need an easy way to get a slightly better sound get the percussion and drums seperate from the keyed sounds and only pitch shift the keyed sounds.
