Beat Detective Is MONO-Only! WHY!!!!

Why not allow us the option of Beat Detectiving multi-tracked audio?!

I don't want to own 2 TDM rigs...one for the studio and one for home, just so I can edit drums!!

No. I said, "Sure...you can record everything into Pro Tools cause it's more convenient, but tracking drums (and bass and guitars) to 2" sounds way better. Mixing in Pro Tools? NO WAY!"

And, we all know how nobody wants those old analog Class A pieces of gear or the plate reverbs from the 50's and 60's, right? They keep on dropping in price, yet nobody wants to buy that antiquated...

Where are the killer mixes that were made on PT HD with fully expanded Pro Controls? WHERE ARE THEY?!! Wasn't Pro Control "pro" enuff? Find me a Pro Tools mix that sounds better then 'Rage Against...

ADAT never replaced tape either. Yet, there were many that said that the studio with the 2" Studer machine would go out of business. Didn't happen. Digidesign proclaimed in one of their ads that...

Logic running MOTU hardware (with it's zero-latency monitoring and DSP-based mixer) and an MBox with PT LE for editing audio.

Or, ask Dave LeBolt nicely for Pro Tools LE...

A Pro Tools "studio" (HD and ICON) will still never be able to compete with the studio that has a (large format) analog console (SSL, API, Neve, Trident...), a 2" tape machine, quality outboard gear...

Makes sense. No record label is gonna spend risky money on (at the time) a yet-unproven artist (sure she had the "Locomotion" hit in the 80's...and she was banging just about any Brit/Aussie...

The mix bus in Pro Tools sounds like siht. Some $20 CD put together buy some guy that makes a living SELLING test CDs isn't going to convince me otherwise. I know. The producers I've worked with...

That list only shows that PT was used as a "Mix medium." Which is what EVERYBODY practically uses it for....a playback box with recording, editing and some plugin FX. Or, do you honestly think that...

For $60k, you can get an SSL. Where would you rather mix? A studio with PT HD and an ICON or one with PT HD and an SSL? The answer is obvious.

$60k for something that doesn't impart any...

We did. So did Digi. The Mix cards are PCI 2.1 compliant. They have both 3.3V and 5V keying. There is no reason that they shouldn't work in the G5. It's up to Digi software engineers to get it...
