I've just noticed it too and done a search to resurrect this thread... I think what happened is it got renamed to "AIR Lo-Fi" (so as to avoid confusion with the D-Fi Lo-Fi plug-in, also included)....

Thanks JD - you answered my question. There is some absolute rubbish being written about Logic on the net... as the real copies arrive, fears are being allayed (and the real bugs are being found!).

I'm sure I heard that Logic 8 has dropped assignable key commands. Anyone confirm this? And that the screensets don't work from the numberpad like they used to.

Other than its own format, Structure doesn't import anything other than EXS and Kontakt files.

MOTU MachFive 2 (that's how they spell it...!) is great, and works as an RTAS plug-in like any other...

Although I'd still trust an Apogee DAC/ADC pair hooked up to two systems running at different sample rates for the conversion...

True - if you're using a mastering house their sample rate conversion techniques are rich and varied... and better.

However, if you're going straight to CD, in-the-box, without professional...

Although you're right that 48k/24bit is the better quality, sample rate conversion (48k to 44.1k) is much harder to do than bit rate conversion (24 to 16).

I've been told that my PC's CPU is causing timing issues and crashes with one of my VIs... it doesn't quite ring true though.

I figured that even though my problem involves a VI, it'd probably do...

Actually, if you're after a recommendation, I think it's a fantastic upgrade - all the new toys are superb - loop lab, timestretch play, new filters and fx, much better browsing and importing, better...
