We are having a hard time understanding this..... do you really need to download a template from digidesign and manually type in CC values for this to work....? why does digi make this so difficult...

Does anyone know why Pro Tools Funtion keys are disabled by Apple, even though we have unchecked all F commands in system prefs? Our F commands will not work!

PTHD Buffer sizes and sample rates

Hello,
Can anyone tell me why- at the samples rates of 44,48,176,192 the minimum buffer is 256... but at 88.2 and 96 the minimum is 512....?

We hear it mostly in the closet...not so much in the headphones. The reason for the closet is we need to soundproof ourselves from being heard outside the bedroom (Grouchy room mates/ neighbors...

I am recording some Vox in a closet to my 002 with PT LE 8.0.1, and there is a very annoying "HUM" in the closet (we have to track in there). Well, I thought this not to be a problem...

What is the advantage to setting our PT utilized processors (15 out of 16) to run at 90% instead of 99%?

We are doing a lot of real time recording of MIDI...

Awesome. Thank you. So far, trashing the prefs has seemed to help. We will set the # of processors to 15 at 90% CPU and see how that treats us.

Yes, the plugins that crashed PT a couple times were Sound Toys. We just upgraded our bundle and I believe it just added two new plugins...one called Decapitator and the other one is a panning...

Lately, we have been downloading some new plugins for use in our HD3 system, and we are experiencing quite a bit more crashes. 3 crashes just yesterday! Which makes me think we are not...

Can anyone explain to me what the plug in streaming buffer is for? Also what its optimal settings are for an HD3 rig? Should I just keep it on Default?

I am pretty sure this is a bug.....

If I have a group with two or more tracks in it (Doesn't matter how many tracks) and I try and move a set of regions on those tracks....half the time it works...

Has anyone ever been trimming a region and then saw that the entire region was moved....not trimmed?? This has happened a few times now....bug? This happens when using the trim tool, not the hand...
