I had the same problem. What I did was once I downloaded the file from Avid, I just added a .zip extension to the file. Then tried it and it worked fine. Hope it helps...

Agreed... but... If they stated some hardware is not supported, other than not tested, then they have indeed tested it or know something about it that leads them to consider...
