I understand that this is illegal. However this has not stopped people from doing this. Just look at music, illegal sharing is rampant.
I don't believe this is isolated to my part of the world.

I have pondered the idea of becoming a distributer for the major SFX libraries and creating an online store to sell them.

There are so many edit suites here with freelance editors that we have chosen so far to do the conversion on the back end as it is sometimes hard to get new editors to set up there sessions correctly...
