Hi, Are the files actually missing from the Audio Files folder? Have you tried having Pro Tools redraw the waveforms?

Sounds like your tracks are Tick-based. Try changing them to Sample-based.

I installed the demo version and it locked up Pro Tools, but it was a pretty large session. When I created a new session with one audio track it seemed to work fine, though it may be a resource hog.

Connect the external drive, copy the entire session to another drive, disconnect the external drive, work from the session you copied.
