CD-R = recordable cd... cannot over-write data or audio once it's been burned to cd. Recorded audio should play on most home/car players.

CD-RW = re-writeable cd - data or audio can be 'erased'...

You should probably take into consideration that the 001 for PC has hardly been available for a year - in other words, don't worry, third party developer plugs are most certainly on the way.

So... maxed out at nine bombfactory 1176 compressor plugs in a 24 bit, 24 track @44.1 (no edits) session, which says a lot considering I can fill 120 inputs with digi's eq's and their ilk.
