Re: Pro Tools outputs stereo only or "path n/a"

Thanks for the good advice. I did the delete IO paths and click "Default" thing many times to no avail. But I think I may have a fix. Problems with PT12 seeing the Clarett interface started after...

Pro Tools outputs stereo only or "path n/a"

If this has been covered before I apologize that I can't find it on the forum. I'm running Pro Tools 12 on Windows 10 Pro with a Focusrite Clarett 8PreX interface.

When trying to reamp a...

Importing audio from movie

I searched and saw that others had this problem (on a Mac) but found no solution. Importing a movie and then importing the audio from the movie gets only a tiny segment of the audio.

The video is...

Problem selecting region in edit view, PTLE6.4, Digi 001

I've got an odd problem and I can't find any info about it. I've got a Digi001 and I upgraded from PTLE5.3.1 to PTLE6.4, and installed the cs9, cs6 and the PACE upgrades. Selecting regions in edit...

Re: Volume Loss after Bouncing to Disk

Never use a phono input for anything other than a phono source. Some of the things you've said indicate other problems, but using any other available input on your monitor amp will be a big...

Re: volume of bounced wave tracks

First check to see if your bounces are really at a lower volume... they're probably OK. As a test, record something onto one track without any plugins, then bounce it to disk as a mono file and...

Re: Audiosuite Plug-ins Inoperative

It might be this but if it is I'm surprised that the re-install of PT didn't set it right for you.

Check your Audiosuite popup windows to make sure that the "Use in Playlist" button is selected...

Re: Need an advice

A good move to start with would be to read through the "Best Desktops for PTLE" thread at the top of this forum. There is a truckload of good information there. Also check the Digidesign...

Re: Connecting your keyboard to your PT

This isn't as good as having a manual but here is a link to Yamaha's MIDI setup doc. Where they talk about a 15-pin plug and a "MIDI/Joystick port" you will be using the MIDI in/out ports of the 001...

Re: how do u split a PT session for CD burning/mp3s?

You could seperately bounce each individual song in the hour long session by highlighting the song before bouncing. That way you'd have a wave file on disk for each song.

Here is the problem. You need to get those...

Re: Connecting your keyboard to your PT

By "no signal" do you mean you can't hear it, or do you mean it's not recording midi data into PTLE?

If you have a MIDI track armed to record and set to receive on all channels, then you should...

Re: I think I have a grounding problem???

Although you should make sure all your equipment is properly grounded, this doesn't sound like that kind of problem to me. Grounding problems usually cause noise at a lower pitch... 60 or 120 Hz. A...

Re: run a direct guitar signal out of PT to PodXT?

Cruisemates is right, you take the track with the original signal and output it to a line out, then run guitar cable from the line out to the amp you're using. Mike that and record it to another...

Re: Question about dynamic range

I had to dig up the original track from the archives... it looks like the pencil fix will overwrite the original file.

The mix bus didn't clip, only the one track. Bastiaan got the clue. I...

Question about dynamic range

I'm using PTLE 5.3.1 with a Digi001, and this is an odd thing that I've never seen before.

I have a vocal track that appears visually (in the edit window) to not clip at all. Yet on playback it...

Re: What gives with WaveDriver?

I agree that taking a critical function out of Wavedriver for no reason is a huge drag.
