Get a 002 rack, its cheaper and less things to break (those faders are cheap in my opinion) I like mine so far.

Get a MPC and a load of records to sample from.

Soft samplers just dont have the punch and swing that the Akai sample engine does. Plus its easier to use than a soft sampler because its all there...

yes, and you can save PT files in OSX as older versions of PT, so you can go backwards to older systems.

if you have the Mbox set to your sound manager default in/out, it will give that message, you have to select buit in for both before starting Pro Tools. hope this works.
