act 1) Due to not seeing hardware. This system has 4 cards all in a magma frame. I have see that cause in the past but this case does not seem to be hardware as just...

DAE buffer reset to 0

Intermittently on restarts we'll get the "unable to create dae deck" and it will be because the dae has reset its buffer size to 0 (smallest).
G4, Mix plus, 5.1.1.
Any thoughts

Ive usually found that 2 Items have the same SCSI address. try to put it alone on a buss and see what address it is.
I agree that the address jumpers or connections are suspect.

have you actually used the 9 pin option this way.
I was under the impression that the current machine control wont function this way.

The drivers can get corrupteded as well.
Ive been able to reinstall the drivers on disks and get them back sometimes.
Just one more thing to try before you give up and reinit.

Not really. Last I heard searto still had problems with ilok implemetation as well.
