you can select 'delete' and hold down the ALT key and it won't ask you to confirm every file... just so you know.

Mine works well.. it was a snap to install but the clocking thing Bossi mentioned is true. w/o making sure it's clocked properly (which takes about 30 seconds at the most ) you'll get clicks/pops... ...

Yea, when you record a mono instrument such as guitar or bass (unless your using some kind of stereo effect or something) you should just use a mono track... then you can pan it whereever you want in...

Is the edit window blank after you hit stop or only during recording? Sometimes it takes a second or so to draw the wav.

What instruments are you recording... inputs 1 & 2 w/ the -26db pad should work when you adjust levels. As for 3-8.. the line level inputs. You need pre-amp... like your mixer... you should be able...

If you've got the serials transfered you should also be able to download version 5.3.1 and get up and running now. Although 6.4 is only $35 dollars.

I think it's $75 bucks but I'm not finding a link in the Digistore. You might contact Digidesign and see if they still have the upgrade available. Usually you purchase the 6.1 upgrade and then update...

Do you have a Digi001? If so PTLE 6.4 is the highest your software will go. As for performance.. there is a slight performance hit in Protools by upgrading to WinXP, but the extra 8 tracks are well...

I believe the transfer rate is still faster w/ ATA drives. But I'm not sure what the actual speeds are.
