Re: Inexpensive sample players

Reason is about $400 and Logic Pro is $1000.

Even $400 is pretty steep when it comes to playing one sample CD.

Any more thoughts?

Re: Bouncing to Disk and clipping

First of all, I went back and cranked up the Master Fader on my mix to see when I would hear distortion. I think the characteristics of my tracks kind of hid the distortion. I have 32 tracks with...

Re: Bouncing to Disk and clipping

Well, this is the whole issue to me...yes, I've been getting a hotter, louder signal, and the master fader SAYS I am getting clipping, but I am not hearing any clipping.

It seems logical and more...

Re: Bouncing to Disk and clipping

First, I check to make sure all track pre-faders do not peak in the song (to make sure my pre-fader plugins are not causing any issues). Then, I switch to track post-faders and get the overall mix...

Re: Bouncing to Disk and clipping

Thanks again Wheeltard. I think my fear is that there IS distortion there, but I can't hear it because of my monitoring system and that others will eventually hear it on other systems.

I can...

Re: Bouncing to Disk and clipping

Thanks for your respose. It is interesting that I do the opposite...I already have the levels of my tracks set for a good mix and then I reduce the Master Fader to avoid clipping (since the Master...

Bouncing to Disk and clipping

Hello all,

How are each of you monitoring clipping while bouncing to disk (if you are) and is this important?

I used to mix my tracks, verify none of them were clipping individual (pre and post...

Hello all,

I am drawing MIDI notes and although I know I can change the height of the entire track, thus showing more notes, I don't see a way you can expand the height of all the notes.

It is...

As I looked at your comments, you guys are right. Of course, depending on your case configuration, having an intake fan can keep your CPU cooler, especially if it is blowing...

Re: Best PIV / Athlon 64 CPU COOLER.

Phil,

It probably doesn't matter in your case now (since you have the temperature down to acceptable levels), but you don't want to have an intake and an exhaust fan. Contrary to popular belief,...

What are the parentheses under replies heading?

When listing the threads in a forum, under the replies you sometimes see numbers in parentheses... like 9 (7). What does the second number mean?

Just curious.

Thanks,

Kelly
