I have my Mbox 2 and PT8 running on windows 7 64bit no problems at all...

I had a couple of small install issues, so I reinstalled and it works great now.

The dongle (Mbox etc) is the 'security' with Pro Tools 8. You can install it on as many computers as you like but it will only work while the Mbox is conected to that PC.

Pro tools 9 is controlled...

USB ports keep turning off!

I have my Mbox 2 plugged into a USB port (Not a hub) and have set it to NEVER turn off in device manager as suggested by Digidesign/Avid. However, lately, these revert back to the original settings...

On my PC, I have 6 USB ports. The Mbox 2 will only work on one of them. If I try to connect to a different USB port, it gives the same message.

I know that with the command 8, you can only use one...

With PT 8.0.1, I couldn't get it to work.

However, when I updated to 8.0.4, I could then access the Mbox from the audio devices page in Windows 7 and set that as the default sound card.

If you don't already, you should open the TRANSPORT window. This has all your transport 'stuff' on it - play, stop etc...
