Yes I've got colleagues with the MTRX Studio.
They aren't exactly the same converters but they are still excellent.

I am surprised you think the Studio sounds worse than the Focusrite converters.
I've had them side by side too (and still own the X2P and AM2 devices for headphone feeds) and the DAD converters...

I had the Red 16 Line for several years and wrote a bunch of articles about it.
It is a great unit if you don't need sample accuracy for hardware inserts and will never need more than 64 channels....
