System is a 2010 Mac Pro on High Sierra 10.13.6, optimized per recommendations.

Your fades are written into the consolidated file, so you they are now fixed (unchangeable) and if you like your edits then you are good to go.

I have noticed that the system reponds SLIGHTLY and I mean slightly, slower in OSX than OS9.
The play command lags a bit and the when I switch from mix to edit the screen is redrawn a bit slower....

I've stayed with an 001, 5.2.1 and 9.2.2 on an G4 upgraded to 1.3mHz. The Digi002 didn't offer any real improvement (I/O) over the 001, 96k at the 002 level of converter quality wouldn't be worth it...

IMO .... for strings the SF1 has a really nice balance and clarity that the 121 lacks, it's smoother on the top...

For Classical I would definitely get the QTC1 or the QTC30 .......... they have a much lower noise floor than the TC30K's. The noise floor for the QTC's is 22dB spl, while the TC30K is...

I think the G5 is gonna be too much machine for PTLE, the DSP available will not fully be used with the artificial 32 track limit . Unless Digi comes out with a 48 to 64 track Native version of PTLE....

I'm bought an OWC 1.3Ghz upgrade a couple of weeks ago for the old G4/500, which used to get about 11 davec tracks. The upgrade gives me a solid 22, shakey 23 tracks.

Installation was cake...
