Looks like I'll have to call Digi... tomorrow. Seems like others with the same symptoms and the flashing light next to the firewire have needed a new something or other...

Make sure you order the 2.8 extreme processor....... I'm running this with 7.4 - Awesome!

Unless you order it, it will come with the 2.4, which I thought was a little jittery when I checked it...

OK ! I'm in business...... Just when you start to get comfortable, something new pops up. Bussing to a stereo track solved the problem. Just a quick test proved that I can now record the drums...

I called tech support this morning. Guess I'm learning a few things. I was told that I need to set up a bus and send from my instrument track to an audio track in order to record. Or I can export...

That's good info but unfortunately doesn't answer my problem.

For whatever reason, I get no levels when in record mode. When I disable record, I get levels again.

This is maybe where I'm getting lost.

On an audio track I was expecting to see a wave form during recording.

On an instrument track I was expecting to see midi notes.

At this point I'm not...

I'm stumped...... Been using PT for a few years, pretty good with various plug-ins, however....

I loaded Strike, downloaded 1.01cs update, also current with PTLE 7.4, so far so good. No problem...

Thanks for the suggestions, problem solved. Happened to be that the Sample rate (by default) was set too high, 1024 samples. I brought it down 512 and latency not detectable...... I think it's even...

How to minimize latency

Just loaded Amplitube2 and wonder what the proper set up is... The latency makes it almost unplayable. There is no sound with "Low Latency Monitoring". Is there another setting that I don't know...

I do have plans to upgrade to PT7.4

I bought the new mac at Guitar Center and they did not have 7.4 in stock but ordered it and will get it next week which is fine since I'll be away on vacation...
