Re: Ghost window - help!

This is just a guess, but here's something to try - quit PTLE, trash preferences and relaunch. I'd guess window locations are stored in a preference file, and trashing the prefs would probably...

Re: DigiIO has a funnel lock. Whoa momma!

Hehe...as a student programmer myself, I have to say I find this pretty amusing. Good to see Digi's coders have a sense of humor.

And if you're interesting in seeing more of this kind of stuff,...

Re: Horizontal track zoom feature changed in 7

If I'm understanding your post correctly, I think what you may be in search of is one of my favorite keyboard shortcuts: option-F.
This fits whatever is selected to the boundaries of the edit window...

Re: Mbox user need more inputs

Hi-
I'm running a similar setup (Mbox 1 on G4 PowerBook) and recently ran into the same problem. The solution I ended up with isn't exactly ideal, but it worked for me, allowing two more inputs,...

Re: Xpand Menu Quirkiness

Didn't realize there would have been an update out this early, but now that I check - no, I've got 1.0.0.701 (longest version number I've ever seen). How can I get 1.0.1? Is it a download...

Re: Xpand Menu Quirkiness

Yeah, I'm aware I can get to most of the individual sounds via tha preset menu, but if I want any combination not offered in the preset menu, I need to use the Xpand menus, which just don't seem to...

Xpand Menu Quirkiness

So I got my copy of Xpand in the mail a couple days ago, and though I haven't gotten around to using it a whole lot, I've noticed some weird behavior in the way its menus work (or sometimes don't). ...

Re: THE UNOFFICIAL \"DAVE C\" TEST RESULT THREAD

I repeated my DaveC test last night as per your request. I tried it with FW400 on the LaCie and got 32+5, one aux less than I got before with FW800. However, I also retried it with FW800...

Re: MBox beginner seeking basic recording help!

Hm. I'm a bit confused, actually - it seems strange to me that PT telling you to decrease the buffer size would have anything to do with the level of your bass signal - is this on recording or...

Re: MBox beginner seeking basic recording help!

Hi- I'm a bass player/mbox beginner myself - you're not alone.
Anyway, with regard to your questions:
Firstly, about the "distorted and cracking" sound of your bass you describe - how are you...

Practice Mixes?

Hi-
I was just wondering if anyone knew of places that one could download audio files from to practice mixing on...i.e. separate raw tracks to import into PT and mix for yourself.

And as a little...

Dirt Cheap Mixers

I've been thinking of getting a cheap little mixer for use with PTF - as in $60 or so. I was looking at the Behringer MX602A or UB802. Any opinions on either of these or suggestions for others in...

Re: Strange Clipping

Poncival-
Thanks for your replies.
First, the clipping is definitely (very) audible (and unpleasant).
Secondly - the DI track I took was pretty much straight out - pre EQ, pre compressor,...

Re: Strange Clipping

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean by "phase issue," I don't think so, because I'm recording the two outputs to two separate tracks. They're never mixed.
Any other possibilities?

Re: Strange Clipping

I had thought about that, but both signals were about the same level, and it only clipped one.
D'you suppose it's at all possible that the problem was with the adapters and/or stereo-dual mono...

Do I have to change something in OMS?

Thanks! I'll try that next time.

Re: DAE error -7450

Thanks for the help!
Although I have yet to reboot my computer in OS9 to see if it works, I hope it will, and now I know what Aux tracks are (roughly).
Thanks again,
