Can you elaborate on this option? I think 6 mics is good for me, since I have a 4 piece drumset and i was planning on micing 2 toms, one mic on snare, one on bass drum, and two overheads.

it sounds like you bounced it at a low quality. As far as nasal goes, you should try a different mic. you could try rolling off some of hte mids or using a 1 band eq.
