That was originally the case but a few years ago Avid added the MTRX with it's own hardware profile (using the same for both MTRX Studio and MTRX.) So it no longer emulates one of the other...

What? Have you used ultimate? Ping or no ping would make no difference to Ultimate. It needs a ping function too (delay measurement.) Only _old_ Avid HDX hardware had set delays. The current line-up...
