To my knowledge the extra Firewire port on the back of your 003 should be just fine for your hard drive. I've done the same thing off of a 002, with no real problems.

That's an interesting thought. As far as I know, all my plug-ins are legit full versions. How would I find out if they "forgot" the authorizations, though, and how would I be able to "remind" them?

I use these monitors as the main speakers for the computer, the crackling and hissing only occurs during playback in PT.
