Do you mean left and right controls in the plugin? As far as I know that's only possible with multi-mono plugins, which can only be instantiated on multichanel tracks, and the whole signal chain is...

If you look at the waveform well zoomed out, it's sometimes almost as if the envelope of the bounced audio is phase shifted as well as DC offset, but if you zoom in to waveform level,...

Everything is mono.


Commit is not part of my usual workflow and I'm not really familiar with it. This is bounced in real time with destructive record on the destination track.

It's not the positioning of the clip that snaps to the grid, but rather the boundary of the selection you are trying to make.
Try this :
Choose Shuffle mode
Set Grid to 1sec
Zoom in on the time...
