Digidesign's compatibility list for laptops is outdated so it's been a challenge for me to find a comparable system (chipset compatibility being the biggest challenge). I realize that hardware...

Ok, so 2 days after I got the quote for the Dell 9300, they discontinued it. So, I decided to go out on a limb and try the new Gateway MX6450 (see specs below):

I'm leaning towards the 9300 then...I plan to do my own O/S build of XP pro anyhow.
